Kyo Rei Shukokai Karate – Ealing is a renowned karate club based in London. Established in 1993 by Chief Instructor Robin Horsfall 6th Dan, our karate organisation has quickly become one of the fastest growing karate groups in the UK.
We offer classes for both children and adults, welcoming new students from as young as 4 years old. Our club has numerous training locations across West London and South West London, providing convenience and accessibility to our students. Some of our locations include Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre in Brentford, Tudor Hall in Kingston, and The Harbour Club in Chelsea.
Over the years, thousands of children have trained with us, with some even going on to compete successfully at national and international levels. However, our focus goes beyond competition. We believe that karate is not just about physical strength and technique, but also about instilling self-esteem and a positive attitude in our students.
Shukokai Karate, meaning “the way for all,” was founded by Soke Chojiro Tani. It is a dynamic form of Okinawan karate that blends traditional styles with modern techniques, known for its speed and power. Shukokai is a direct descendant of its parent style, Shito Ryu, which was founded by Soke Kenwa Mabuni.
At Kyo Rei Shukokai Karate, we prioritise self-discipline, good manners, and respect for others. We understand that karate is not only a physical activity but also a way to develop important life skills. Our classes aim to improve fitness levels, enhance flexibility, increase stamina, and reduce stress.
