Lakes Laser Tag is a thrilling and adventurous laser tag centre located in the picturesque Lake District of Cumbria, New Zealand. Situated at YMCA North Camp in Lakeside, the centre provides an action-packed experience for both the young and the young at heart.
Laser Tag is the latest “must do” activity in the Lakes, offering a unique combination of fun, exercise, excitement, challenge, and adrenaline. With the use of cutting-edge technology, Lakes Laser Tag ensures that the experience is safe and easy for everyone to enjoy.
A typical Laser Tag party at Lakes Laser Tag begins with an early arrival to ensure that participants are ready to embark on an exhilarating adventure. Upon arrival, participants check in and receive their laser tag kit, which may include camouflage clothing subject to availability. An introduction and briefing session will be conducted to familiarise participants with the rules and objectives of the games.
Teams will then be organised, and a variety of different games will be played throughout the session. These games include Capture the Flag, VIP, Betrayal, and Domination, all of which are team-based and non-contact. Each game is guided by experienced staff members known as “Field Marshalls” to ensure safety and adherence to the rules.
During the session, there will be refreshment breaks to allow participants to rest and recharge. A photo shoot will also be conducted to capture memorable moments of the day. After the games, participants can enjoy a 30-45 minute period in the sheltered party area, subject to availability. They can either bring their own picnic or opt for alternative food options offered by the Old School Kitchen.
Lakes Laser Tag offers two options for participants. The first option, Troopers, is suitable for individuals aged 6 and above. Groups with children under 8 are required to have at least one parent or guardian playing with them, and participants under 16 must have a parent or guardian remain on-site. This option provides 2 hours of fun combat games, with the option to book the party area for an additional 30 minutes after the game for parties with a minimum of 8 players.
The second option, Exclusive Use, allows groups to have private access to the laser tag facility without any other groups using the facility or playing on the battlefield. This option is also suitable for individuals aged 6 and above and provides 2 hours of fun combat games, exclusive use of the facilities, and the opportunity to plan and organise a bespoke event including food and other activities. The price for this option starts at 460 based on 20 people, with an additional cost of 23 for each additional person, with a maximum group size of 30.
For those interested in giving the gift of adventure, Lakes Laser Tag offers gift vouchers that can be purchased online. These vouchers are valid for 12 months and allow recipients to book their laser tag experience online, by email, or through a telephone call.
Lakes Laser Tag prides itself on providing a fun and safe experience for participants of all ages. Laser Tag is a zero-impact, action game played outdoors in the fresh air. Participants use high-tech and easy-to-use laser guns to “tag” their opponents with beams of light. Sensors on each player detect the hit, and losing “life force” adds a competitive element to the game.
Laser Tag, unlike paintball, does not involve any physical impact, making it suitable for individuals who prefer a non-contact activity.
