About
Lancaster John O' Gaunt Rowing Club in Lancaster is where rowers come together for a great time on and off the water. Andy, at the helm, has built a space that's open to everyone.
Curious about rowing? Andy's Learn to Row course is a solid start. Over six weeks, you’ll pick up the basics—no fitness or rowing experience needed. For just £60, you get hands-on training in rowing techniques, boat handling, and essential safety skills. Plus, rainy days? Extra sessions have you covered.
Safety’s a big deal here. You'll sign off confirming you can swim in light clothing, and life jackets are a must for all water activities. Don’t forget a spare change of clothes, just in case.
Once you’ve nailed the basics, you're welcome to join the regular club sessions. For £28 a month, you can keep rowing with the gang, making the most of the club’s top-notch kit.
And hey, if you’re between 12 and 18, pop in on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am for free junior sessions and see if rowing floats your boat.
Andy and the team at Lancaster John O' Gaunt Rowing Club offer a fantastic experience for rowers of all stages. Dive in and enjoy rowing on Lancaster’s beautiful waters.
