Learn to Swim is a program offered by Aquatics Hastings, providing expertly trained instructors to teach individuals of all ages how to swim. The program is available at Flaxmere and Clive War Memorial Pools, catering to both pre-school and school-aged children.
Classes are offered at various times throughout the week, including during the day for pre-school and water baby classes, and after school during the week and Saturday mornings for school-aged children. Please note that classes do not run on public holidays.
The upcoming term, Term 1 2024, begins on Monday, 12th February. Enrolled students for Term 1 will receive a Free Splash Planet Pass, valid until 1st April (Easter Monday).
Learn to Swim offers different levels for different age groups, including Water Babies, Preschool (3-5 Years), Crabs, Goldfish, Penguins, School-Age Years, Jellyfish, Starfish, Turtles, Snappers, Salmon, Marlins, Dolphins, Crocodiles, and Sharks.
Lessons are priced at $14.00 per child each week when paid by direct debit, with terms typically lasting 10 weeks. Payments can be made via direct debit on a weekly basis or for the full term in person at the pool.
To book lessons, Aquatics Hastings has launched an online booking platform where available lesson times can be viewed and booked. The platform also allows for selecting the suitable pool and level for the child based on the provided descriptions and age ranges. Discounts for registering more than two children per term can only be processed through direct communication with the pool after booking.
After successful payment, a payment confirmation email and an email confirming the purchased lesson time will be received. Progress tracking and class changes can also be managed through the online portal, where parents can monitor their child's enrolled classes and assess their progress.
