Welcome to Lonsdale Swimming Pool, a community swimming pool located in Mickleover, Derby. We pride ourselves on providing affordable swimming activities for people of all ages and abilities. Our pool is used for Children's and Adult Swimming Lessons, local clubs, schools, and open public swimming sessions.
At Lonsdale Swimming Pool, we believe that learning to swim is an invaluable life skill for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're young or old, physically able or not, from any cultural background or family circumstances. Swimming is a great family and holiday activity and, most importantly, it can save lives. It is also an excellent form of low-impact exercise that engages all the muscles in your body while supporting your joints, improving fitness and burning calories.
We are proud to be supported by the Lonsdale Swimming and Sport Trust, a local charity that has been dedicated to 'Keep Derby Swimming' since 2006. The trust operates both Lonsdale Swimming Pool in Mickleover and Gayton Pool in Littleover, providing a wide range of value for money swimming sessions for hundreds of children, adults, and families each week.
Our pool is staffed by qualified and highly experienced teachers and lifeguards, ensuring a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for everyone. We offer a 'pay as you go' basis, making it convenient for individuals and families to participate in swimming activities.
In addition to the public swimming sessions, we also offer the opportunity to join various swimming groups that regularly use our pool. If you are interested in joining a group or want more information, please contact the pool directly for details.
