Lydney Cricket Club

Welcome to Lydney Cricket Club! Located in Lydney, United Kingdom, our club provides opportunities for both senior and youth cricket players to engage in the sport they love.

For our senior cricket players, we have competitive fixtures and results available for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd XI teams. Our kit is proudly provided by Martin Berrill Sports, and our kit sponsorship is courtesy of SWM Builders Merchants.

Youth cricket is a major focus at Lydney Cricket Club, and we are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new cricket academy for Under 11s and Under 13s. Our aim is to help children improve their cricket skills through dedicated coaching sessions. These sessions will take place on Wednesdays for both age groups, typically from 5:30-7:00. Additionally, on Thursdays from 5:00-6:00, all children who sign up will have the opportunity to receive small group sessions in 30-minute slots.

We have three coaches available, ensuring that at least 12 children receive a small group session each week. This comprehensive coaching programme is offered at a fraction of the cost of private lessons.

In terms of league participation, we have entered both the U-11 and U-13 Leadon Vale leagues. Our coaches will select players from the pool for each team, giving priority to those who fit within the respective age group. We also welcome players who wish to play in both age groups or occasionally step up in age group. Additionally, we are currently seeking match day volunteer managers, scorers, and umpires for each team.

Membership at Lydney Cricket Club includes automatic entry into our weekly 50/50 draw. Members are assigned a number, and a random draw is conducted every Friday with the winner announced on our website. Membership can be paid annually at 52 or semi-annually at 26, with payment made through a standing order.
