Manly Pilates is a small, personal boutique studio located in Fairlight, Australia. The studio is dedicated to helping individuals perform their best and achieve their fitness goals. Whether you want to build strength, improve mobility, enhance posture, find energy and power during pre/post pregnancy, or recover from an injury, Manly Pilates is here to support you.
Led by Joscelyn, an experienced instructor with a decade of experience, Manly Pilates offers a range of sessions tailored to suit individual needs and goals. From one-on-one and semi-private sessions to small group classes, every activity is designed to cater to your specific requirements.
The general class at Manly Pilates welcomes a maximum of five participants and lasts for 55 minutes. In this session, you will be guided through exercises, with cues provided by your instructor. However, please note that this class does not specifically focus on individual targeted needs. For a more personalised experience, the studio recommends semi-private or private sessions.
Private and semi-private sessions are available for individuals or groups of up to three clients. These sessions utilise various equipment such as the Reformer, Chair, Oovs, Mat, and other apparatus designed to challenge and assist you. Through resistance and balance exercises, Manly Pilates aims to align your body, lengthen and strengthen your muscles, resulting in improved strength, balance, coordination, and overall performance.
For those interested in becoming Pilates instructors, Manly Pilates offers Polestar student mentoring. Private and small group sessions are available to provide guidance and learning opportunities for aspiring instructors. With over 10 years of experience in helping Polestar students, Joscelyn brings knowledge and expertise to empower future instructors.
Manly Pilates also places a focus on women's health. Joscelyn understands that women may face unique challenges post-pregnancy and during menopause, involving issues such as prolapses and stress incontinence. The studio provides Pilates sessions that address these specific concerns and incorporates daily breath and movement exercises to yield lasting results.
Joscelyn, the founder and lead instructor at Manly Pilates, holds a diploma qualification in Polestar mentoring and instruction. She has been teaching Pilates for over a decade, with a particular emphasis on women's health. As a mother of two, Joscelyn personally understands how the body and energy change throughout life. She believes in enriching the lives of others through Pilates, guided by the philosophy of Joseph Pilates: “Pilates is the complete co-ordination of body, mind, and spirit.
” Joscelyn is also registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Manly Pilates offers various pricing options to suit different preferences and needs. The casual duration for all sessions is 55 minutes. General classes cost $27 per session or a bundle of 10 classes for $245 during the school term. Semi-private sessions are available at $45 per session, with options for a 5-pack at $210 or a 10-pack at $390.
Private one-on-one sessions or mentoring can be booked for $95 per session, with options for a 5-pack at $450 or a 10-pack at $850.
