McDonalds Kihikihi Speedway

Head down to McDonald's Kihikihi Speedway, a stone's throw from Te Awamutu and just half an hour from Hamilton. Since 1954, this historic track has been a favourite for both competitors and fans, thanks to its easy access and laid-back vibe.

Karl and the Kihikihi Speedway Club invite you to a night of incredible speedway action. Pack a picnic, round up the family, and come enjoy an evening of thrilling motorsport.

The Kihikihi Speedway Club began its journey in 1954 with a basic track on the Kihikihi Domain. Still at the same location, the venue has seen numerous upgrades to enhance the experience for everyone. Initially focusing on open wheel and bike classes, the club expanded its range in the early 90s, adding a concrete wall and a variety of speedway classes.

Today, Kihikihi Speedway hosts Saloons, Super Saloons, Superstocks, Stockcars, Youth Ministocks, Midgets, TQ Midgets, Sprintcars, and Sidecars. After installing track lights in 2014, events switched to Saturday evenings, making family-friendly nights even better.
