Led by experienced instructor Mel Corrigan, this martial arts club offers a variety of disciplines to suit different interests and skill levels. From Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) to Kali, Panatukan, Silat, Jun Fan Gung Fu Jeet Kune Do concepts (JKD), STX Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Combat Submission Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CSBJJ), students can learn and master a range of martial arts techniques and styles.
In the Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) classes, participants will learn grappling techniques, attacks, defences, and submissions using Erik Paulson's highly effective system. These classes are held twice a week and draw from various martial arts such as Kali, Silat, Shoot Wrestling, Jun Fan, Catch Wrestling, and more.
The STX Kickboxing classes, based on the Savate Thai Cross Training system developed by Erik Paulson, combine strikes from Boxing, Panantukan, Jeet Kune Do, Savate, and Muay Thai. Students will learn powerful techniques involving elbows, punches, and knees to effectively strike their opponents.
For those interested in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), the Combat Submission Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CSBJJ) classes offer a gi-based grappling system developed by Erik Paulson. With a focus on newaza, participants will learn takedowns, controls, and submission techniques to gain an advantage over their opponents.
