Welcome to McLeod Academy, a premier martial arts school located in Aylesbury. With classes available for individuals aged 8 and above, our academy is dedicated to helping others achieve a state of health, happiness, and confidence through the practise of martial arts.

At McLeod Academy, you will be trained by our expert instructors, Neil and Rachael McLeod. As both of them were trained by Sifu/Guro Dan Inosanto, a friend and student of the legendary Bruce Lee, you can trust that you are learning from the best. Neil and Rachael have competed on a global level and have numerous titles, including British, European, and World championships in various disciplines.

Our curriculum features a diverse range of martial arts styles. First and foremost, we offer Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, also known as Jun Fan, which translates to 'the way of the intercepting fist'. This style combines kickboxing, Wing Chun, and grappling techniques, with an emphasis on intercepting attacks. Additionally, we teach Filipino Martial Arts (Kali), a weaponry-based art that also incorporates kickboxing and grappling, perfect for enhancing coordination and reflexes.

For those interested in mixed martial arts, we offer Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW), created by Sensei Erik Paulson, a renowned figure in Mixed Martial Arts competition in the United States. CSW is a hybrid system that encompasses various wrestling styles, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Judo, Sambo, and Dumog.

If you're looking to learn the famous Thai art of Muay Thai or Thai Boxing, our academy has you covered. Muay Thai is known for its heavy kicks, knees, elbows, and clinch work, making it an excellent option for physical fitness and self-defence.

For younger individuals, we offer Junior Mixed Martial Arts classes, which focus on a combination of kickboxing and grappling techniques from different styles. These classes are both fun and energetic, providing children with a safe outlet for their energy. It's important to note that there is no head contact allowed in our Junior classes.
