The Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor Programme is an incredible opportunity for individuals who have a deep passion for martial arts and dream of becoming a Meridian Kung Fu Instructor. This programme offers a unique and fulfilling career change that is unlike any other available in the Brentwood area.
To join the programme, participants must demonstrate unwavering dedication to the teaching of this beautiful martial art and possess an outstanding level of skill. Only exceptional students who have a burning desire to educate and enhance the lives of others will be considered for this prestigious opportunity.
The Instructor Programme consists of 6 Levels of progression, each of which must be successfully completed to obtain the Probationary Instructor level. Recruits will receive monthly 2-hour seminars at our headquarters, led by the highly experienced Instructor and business mentor, Sifu Steve Carpenter. These seminars will focus on coaching and management skills training. In addition, recruits will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience by participating in actual classes once a week, allowing them to develop the high level of skill required to become a Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach.
The best part? This course is absolutely free of charge, offering an incredible opportunity to train as a qualified Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach. However, it is important to note that the programme only accepts a limited number of new recruits each year, and strict guidelines must be followed throughout the 4-year duration. There are also some additional costs involved, including a coaching kit (£60), coaching manual (£15), and a DBS check (£9).
Let's take a closer look at the 6 Levels of progression within the Instructor Programme:
- Level 1: This level involves basic class involvement duties such as setting up equipment, preparing the training area, and running basic health and safety checks. Recruits will also have the opportunity to observe the class structure.
- Level 2: At this stage, recruits will be introduced to coaching and will be able to perform basic coaching duties such as pad and drill training. They will work under strict supervision, creating rapport with individual students and assisting with warmups.
- Level 3: This level focuses on class management systems. Recruits will learn how to maintain the class register, organise students before and after training sessions, and ensure order within the training area. They will also receive guidance on following the curriculum and providing assistance with cool down sessions.
- Level 4: Advanced coaching skills are the highlight of this level. Recruits will learn how to coach small groups, maximise student participation, and make sessions enjoyable and effective. They will also have the opportunity to run warm up and cool down sessions.
- Level 5: At this stage, recruits will demonstrate their coaching ability by setting up equipment, conducting health and safety checks, and leading small group curriculum training. They will also take charge of warm up and cool down sessions.
- Level 6: This level focuses on branch management tuition. Recruits will gain knowledge in areas such as economics and enrolment, marketing and recruitment, maintenance, insurance, and first aid.
Upon completion of Level 6, recruits will be awarded Provisional Instructor status. Once all the standards outlined in the Instructors handbook are met, full Instructor status will be granted. As an added bonus, Meridian Kung Fu (UK) also offers a one-year trial period for new Instructors to open their own branch. Instructors who meet all the standards during this trial period will be awarded full Instructor status. If needed, Meridian Kung Fu (UK) can also provide full-time premises on a lease basis in any area of the UK.
Becoming a Meridian Kung Fu Instructor is not just a job; it is a passion that allows individuals to make a difference in the lives of others.
