Welcome to the Nelson Dojo! The Karate club in Blenheim, known as the Nelson training hall or dojo, is located behind Old St John’s Church at 320 Hardy Street. They have a range of classes throughout the week, catering to different age groups and skill levels.
Every Tuesday, they hold an adult beginner class, perfect for those looking to start their Karate journey. On Wednesdays, they have an exciting Super Kids class designed for children aged 5–8 years old. For older children, classes are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Leading the dojo is their head instructor, Sei Shihan Aaron Barber, who is supported by other senior Black Belts. Aaron Barber has an impressive martial arts background, having earned his first-degree black belt at the remarkable age of eight. He has trained extensively in New York and has participated in various local and international tournaments, showcasing his exceptional skills.
