Together We CIC- Egremont Centre, a local fitness club in Egremont, is excited to announce an upcoming fitness event in collaboration with the North Cumbria Recovery College.
The North Cumbria Recovery College, a local initiative that began in 2021, aims to provide support and resources for adults in Allerdale Copeland, Carlisle, and Eden who are facing mental or physical health difficulties, or are caring for someone who does. This college goes beyond traditional academic settings and offers a range of group sessions and courses focused on increasing understanding, developing skills, and building confidence to take control of mental and physical wellbeing.
What sets the North Cumbria Recovery College apart is its co-production, co-design, and co-delivery model. This means that everyone, including participants, instructors, and volunteers, learns and grows together. This shared learning approach fosters a sense of community and personal growth, where individuals have the opportunity to connect with others and work towards their personal goals.
The college prides itself on promoting an empowering environment where people can share their experiences, make their own choices, and form equal relationships with others. Many individuals have already shared inspiring stories of positive change as a result of their involvement with the college.
If you're interested in getting involved and making a difference in the lives of others, the North Cumbria Recovery College also welcomes volunteers and offers various volunteering opportunities. You can find more information on how to join as a volunteer by visiting their website.
So mark your calendars and join Together We CIC- Egremont Centre and the North Cumbria Recovery College for a fitness event that not only benefits your physical health but also supports mental and emotional wellbeing. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting collaboration!
