Welcome to Nottingham City Gymnastics Club, a Gymnastics for All club based in Nottingham. We believe in the fun, fitness, and friendship side of gymnastics, with a non-competitive ethos. Our club provides high-quality coaching in a wide range of gymnastics disciplines and offers opportunities for gymnasts to showcase their skills at festival events.

Our main focus is to create a safe, effective, and child-friendly environment where gymnasts of all ages, abilities, ethnicities, and backgrounds can come together and enjoy gymnastics. All of our coaches are qualified by British Gymnastics and have been screened for their suitability to work with children, including passing enhanced criminal record checks. As a British Gymnastics GymMark Club, we are proud to meet the highest standards of coaching and child welfare.

Our sessions are designed to encourage participants to try new things, have fun, make new friends, keep fit, and develop a wide range of skills. Each session begins with a game and warm-up suitable for the level of activity during the session to physically and mentally prepare the gymnasts. They then split into groups based on age, ability, experience, and social groups and work with their coach on various pieces of equipment. At the end of the session, the whole group comes together for a cool-down before departure.

During our sessions, participants work on the NCGC curriculum specific to their class. We also offer a badge scheme to motivate gymnasts to achieve specific skills. The badge scheme starts with preschool proficiency and progresses through core proficiency, advanced proficiency, and finally, the merit, distinction, and masters awards. Gymnasts must consistently and successfully complete 80% of the skills listed for each badge to achieve the award.

Once achieved, they can purchase the badge and certificate for 2. 50, presented in their next class.

Our sessions also provide an opportunity for participants to experience a breadth of gymnastics disciplines. We incorporate rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, and freestyle gymnastics (Parkour) into our sessions, allowing gymnasts to explore different styles and techniques.
