Outback Walkers is an active sports club located in the Bourke Shire Council area of Australia. As part of the National Heart Foundation of Australia, this club promotes physical activity and a healthy lifestyle through walking.

Joining Outback Walkers allows individuals to build connexions within their community while working towards a healthier heart together. Walking groups are available within a 10 km, 20 km, 25 km, 50 km, and 100 km radius, making it easy for members to find a group that suits their location and preferences.

Outback Walkers not only encourages individual participation but also provides support for healthcare professionals in complementing their care with a structured walking programme. This programme can be tailored to suit both individual and group preferences, helping patients meet the national physical activity guidelines.

For those who are passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle and making a difference in their community, becoming a Volunteer Walk Organiser is an option. As a Walk Organiser, individuals will plan walking routes and meeting places for the group, determine the time and day of walks, and welcome new members. The Heart Foundation supports Walk Organisers by providing training, an online profile to manage the group, thank you gifts, ongoing communication, and invites to events and workshops.
