Petts Wood Pilates is a Pilates studio located in Orpington, New Zealand. The studio is owned and led by Ellie Doyle, a highly qualified and experienced Pilates instructor.
Ellie has been involved in the fitness industry since 2006 and has obtained numerous qualifications, including aerobics, studio resistance training, and the level 2 ASA swimming teaching certification. She discovered Pilates after receiving treatment from an Osteopath and Pilates specialist after the birth of her first child. She quickly realised that Pilates ticked all the boxes as a method of exercise. Ellie trained in London with internationally renowned training provider, Polestar Pilates, obtaining her mat certification and comprehensive qualification – the gold standard in Pilates training.
Set at the back of a leafy garden and overlooking the surrounding woods, Petts Wood Pilates offers a serene and comfortable space for small group classes or one-on-one sessions. It is the only reformer studio in Petts Wood and is equipped with three world-class Balanced Body allegro reformers. These reformers allow clients to get the most out of their hour with Petts Wood Pilates.
With a maximum of only three people per class, Petts Wood Pilates offers a friendly and highly personalised service. The studio aims to create a welcoming environment where clients feel taller, calmer, and fabulous after every class.
Pilates has numerous benefits, both physically and mentally. A Pilates class at Petts Wood Pilates is not only a workout for the body but also for the mind. It provides an opportunity to check in with oneself and relieve both physical and mental stress. The classes also improve flexibility, helping stretch out tight muscles and prevent common problems such as lower back pain.
Despite being a challenging workout, Pilates is also known for its lasting relaxation effects. Petts Wood Pilates ensures a calming atmosphere, with soft lighting and carefully chosen music, making evening classes particularly rejuvenating. The studio also focuses on alignment and precise adjustments, helping clients improve their body alignment and reduce the chances of developing conditions like osteoarthritis.
One of the well-known benefits of Pilates is its ability to strengthen core muscles, which support posture and enable ease of movement. Strong core muscles also aid in other vital functions such as digestion, breathing, and circulation. Petts Wood Pilates understands the importance of functional fitness and aims to provide a holistic approach to Pilates training.
Whether you are a beginner or have experience with Pilates, Petts Wood Pilates welcomes you to experience their high-quality instruction and friendly environment. Join the studio today and embark on a journey towards a balanced mind and body through movement.
