Reading Offshore Sailing Club

Reading Offshore Sailing Club (ROSC) is a RYA-affiliated offshore club and training centre located in Reading and serving the surrounding area. The club is a haven for sailing and motor yacht enthusiasts, offering a range of activities and opportunities for members to explore and enjoy the world of offshore sailing.

Membership at ROSC is open to individuals residing in and around the Reading area who have a keen interest in sailing or motor yachts. Whether you own a yacht based in the Solent area or further afield, or simply want to crew or expand your knowledge of sailing, ROSC welcomes you with open arms.

In the sailing season, ROSC organises regular rallies to destinations along the South Coast, as well as other parts of the UK and the Mediterranean. These rallies provide an excellent opportunity for members to engage in group sailing adventures and explore stunning coastal regions. During the winter months, ROSC holds monthly meetings at the Upper Thames Motor Yacht Club (UTMYC), providing a platform for members to connect, exchange experiences, and discuss upcoming plans.

As an RYA-affiliated club and training centre, ROSC is committed to offering high-quality training and learning experiences to its members. The club provides RYA training courses to help beginners gain their first sailing qualifications, as well as advanced training for those looking to enhance their skills and progress in their sailing journey. ROSC also collaborates with other clubs to offer theory training and charter boat opportunities for members to further develop their understanding and practical experience.
