Jamie, the founder of River Wear Tai Chi School, discovered a love for Eastern philosophy and martial arts early on. Influenced by television programmes, Jamie explored Tai Chi in-depth, realising its extensive benefits for mind, body, and spirit. Jamie now focuses on sharing this martial art to help others achieve inner balance, reduce stress, and boost self-confidence.
Our classes are designed to be enjoyable and relaxing, akin to a meditative experience. They offer an excellent way to enhance coordination, mobility, and overall suppleness. Just 15 minutes of daily Tai Chi practice can yield significant improvements in well-being, stress relief, relaxation, and even help manage conditions like joint and mobility issues, back pain, fatigue, depression, and insomnia.
