Welcome to the wonderful world of track and field at Ryde ATHLETICS CENTRE! This pole vault club based in Sydney is excited to promote an upcoming local Pole Vault event.
The coaching program offered by Ryde Athletics Centre is designed for athletes of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're new to athletics or an experienced competitor, our coaching program offers opportunities for improvement and achieving personal bests (PB's).
At Ryde Athletics Centre, we cover various events including sprinting, middle distance, hurdles, jumps, and throwing. We focus on providing inclusive and progressive coaching, allowing athletes to develop their skills and discover their best event. With a strong emphasis on technique, strength, and fitness, our coaching program aims to help athletes excel in their chosen disciplines.
The coaching fees for this year involve a hybrid model, consisting of weekly opt-in coaching, pre-paid event clubs coaching, and holiday clinics.
The weekly opt-in coaching fee is $35 per season and allows access to the online booking platform SignUp Genius, where athletes can decide the training sessions that suit them best. Training sessions are available throughout the week, running in the afternoons at Dunbar Park. The session times vary depending on individual coaches. Athletes who opt-in for coaching can select from a variety of coaching sessions, ranging from fundamental skills to event-specific coaching.
The training sessions commence in mid-September and run over a 10-week block, with a break during school holidays. The block training concludes in December with the Zone Championships. Another block of training will start in early 2024 and conclude before the State Championships in March 2024.
In addition to the weekly opt-in coaching, we offer pre-paid event clubs for specific events that require more technical development. These clubs are limited to 8 participants and run over a 5-week block. The cost is $35 per block. By joining a pre-paid event club, athletes can secure their spot for the entirety of the block.
Parents or guardians are required to attend the training sessions to supervise their child and assist with setup and pack away. If payment has not already been made during the registration process, it can be conveniently made through the provided link.
