Sarah, the founder and instructor of Sarah Jones Pilates Ltd, has been teaching Body Control Pilates since 2000. She has over 23 years of experience in training and teaching, constantly expanding her knowledge through workshops in New Zealand, Europe, and America. Sarah is fully qualified in matwork, from beginners to advanced level, and has expertise in using small equipment such as bands, balls, and small weights. She is also fully trained in using the Pilates studio equipment, providing a comprehensive Pilates experience for her clients.
Sarah's passion for teaching Pilates stems from her personal experience. She discovered Pilates while training as a professional dancer in 1995 and found that it greatly enhanced her strength, flexibility, and ease of movement. This personal experience motivated her to train with Body Control Pilates in 2000 and become a qualified instructor. Sarah's clients range from dancers to older individuals, those rehabilitating after injury or surgery, and fitness enthusiasts looking to enhance their fitness levels.
Apart from her general expertise, Sarah is a Pink Ribbon programme post-rehab instructor, specialising in helping clients rehabilitate after treatment/surgery for breast cancer. She also has a keen interest in postnatal Pilates, having experienced the benefits herself after having two children.
