Seafarers Sailing Club

Members can launch their boats and enjoy sailing in one of the most picturesque and popular sailing areas in the UK, the Solent.

Seafarers Sailing Club is known for its strong emphasis on safety and training. The Club operates two RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) with outboard motors that serve as Patrol Boats (PB). These PBs are used to provide a safe sailing environment for Club members. The Club offers PB training to ensure that helms and crew are skilled and knowledgeable in supporting Club sailing activities.

Both initial training and refresher training are provided to keep helms up-to-date with Club equipment and procedures.

In addition to sailing, Seafarers Sailing Club also hosts regular social events and talks. Tuesday Talks cover a range of interesting topics, from container ships and leisure craft to the details and workings of the Club's chosen charity, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. These events provide a great opportunity for members to socialise, learn, and engage with the Club community.

The compound has space for approximately 150 boats, which is often sufficient to meet the demands of members. Additionally, located within a large public car park, the Club offers easy access to launching facilities and the beach, making it convenient for members to enjoy their sailing experience.
