Simpson's Equine Activities

Simpson's Equine Activities is a horse riding school located in Calgary, offering English riding lessons from Beginner through Advanced Competitive levels. Situated in the picturesque Springbank area, just 10 minutes west of the Calgary city limits, our home property provides a serene and beautiful setting for horse riding enthusiasts of all ages.

In addition to our main location, we also operate a lesson program at Lauder Ranch, conveniently situated North of the TransCanada Highway towards Cochrane. Our lessons alternate between flatwork and jumping each week, incorporating elements of dressage, show jumping, and cross-country jumping to provide a well-rounded experience for our students.

At Simpson's Equine Activities, our focus is on teaching fundamental riding and horsemanship skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. Whether you are just starting out or looking to refine your skills for competitive riding, our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping you reach your goals and develop a strong connection with your equine partner.

Our Lesson Program runs from September to June, with lessons typically filling up quickly. Please note that lessons for the 2023–2024 seasons are currently sold out at both of our locations. However, you can click on the link provided to be added to the waitlist. When enrolling, please provide your child's age and riding experience (if any) to help us better cater to their needs.
