The Functional Effect, a Fitness club in Jamisontown, is excited to promote an upcoming local Fitness event. These open format sessions are perfect for individuals who are interested in developing and progressing bodyweight movements, as well as high skill gymnastics callisthenics style movements.
During these sessions, participants will have the opportunity to practice various patterns at a low heart rate percentage. This focused approach allows individuals to dedicate their efforts towards skill acquisition. You can expect to see progressions and regressions of skill development pieces, as we believe in taking the time to perfect skills and develop body awareness.
To ensure a well-rounded experience, each week will have a different movement focus. This allows participants to explore various areas such as pull-up variations, rings work, bar movements like toes to bar (TTB), handstand skills, and muscle up progressions. Additionally, basic bodyweight practice drills will be incorporated to help individuals learn and develop their own body awareness.
For those who are already proficient with these movement patterns, our Elites program also includes a conditioning component during this session. This allows participants to slowly work on skills while their heart rate is elevated, providing an extra challenge for those seeking to push their limits.
