Laszlo follows the principles established by General Choi Hong Hi, the founder of Taekwon-do. SLY Taekwon-do is part of the Advanced TaeKwon-Do International (ATI) and the Advanced Taekwon-do Europe (ATEU), founded by Grand Master James Lim. ATI aims to offer an effective self-defence system while ensuring the safety and well-being of its members.
The instructors at SLY Taekwon-do are qualified and undergo continuous training in teaching techniques, child safety, and first aid. They also have enhanced criminal record background checks. The school is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
Laszlo Butty, the chief instructor, started his martial arts journey young and found his passion for Taekwon-do in 1990. He earned his 1st Dan Black Belt and became the Vice President of the school. His guidance has helped many students achieve success in national and international competitions and in various other sports.
Laszlo's training also includes sessions with North Korean instructors, learning Korean-style workout techniques. He is an Information Technology Engineer and Economist and was involved in the release of the ITF Taekwondo Book in Hungary.
At SLY Taekwon-do, the focus is on balancing physical training with nurturing the mind and spirit. The school aims to instil discipline, self-control, willpower, and confidence in its students, helping them to realise their full potential on and off the mat.
