About
Jack Taylor would like to invite everyone in the sports community to check out SMR Jiu Jitsu Southampton at St Mary's Leisure Centre. It's a great spot where you can dive into Japanese Jiu Jitsu, a martial art with deep roots in samurai traditions, now adapted as a practical method for self-defence for anyone and everyone.
Jack, along with fellow instructor Joolz Raffle, ensures the sessions are friendly and welcoming. The two offer regular training sessions twice a week, with an extra class specifically for University of Southampton students during term time. University members are more than welcome to join the sessions at St. Mary's too.
Jack and Joolz are experienced and passionate about what they do, making sure everyone leaves each session feeling more confident and having enjoyed a solid workout. The club is known for its supportive community where people not only learn valuable self-defence techniques but also make lifelong friends. Beginners are equally welcomed and soon find themselves improving their fitness, discipline, and self-confidence.
Thinking about giving it a go? SMR Jiu Jitsu Southampton offers a free trial lesson. It's a perfect opportunity to see if it's for you – a way to boost your fitness, learn self-defence, and become part of a fantastic community.
