South Gloucestershire Karate Academy

Chris believes anyone can train at the South Gloucestershire Karate Academy. The club is family-friendly, welcoming all ages, genders, abilities, and fitness levels. Kids as young as five can join in. Chris’s mission is to create a welcoming space for everyone to learn and practise karate.

Another option in the Clevedon/Yatton area is North Somerset Wado Kai (NSWK). It’s a family-friendly, volunteer-run, not-for-profit club teaching Wado-Ryu karate for grading, self-defence, and competition. They follow a ten-grade system below black belt, known as Kyu grades.
