Nestled in East Sussex, Spring Hill Dressage is the brilliant creation of international riders Sune Hansen and Emily Ward Hansen. With Sune's impressive career including the World Games in Kentucky, Danish Championship medals, and European Championships, and Emily’s competitive experience across Europe with five horses, it’s clear they know their stuff.
Spring Hill Dressage offers top-tier facilities for dressage competition horses. You’ll find full-size indoor and outdoor arenas, two stable yards, a lunge arena, horse walker, winter turnout pens, and large paddocks. There’s even a 500-metre gallop track and scenic woodland hacking tracks for enjoyable off-road rides.
Both horse and rider thrive here, thanks to the well-thought-out amenities. The 24 horses on-site are split between two yards, with a central tack-up area right next to the indoor school – complete with washing facilities, a solarium, tack room, blanket room, and kitchen. The adjacent outdoor school boasts an irrigated sand and fibre surface.
Spacious fields, post and rail fencing, surfaced winter turnout paddocks, and the scenic woodland trails make this a dreamy spot for dressage training. Each horse receives personalised care, including plenty of field time before riding, four hard feeds per day, and ad-lib hay or haylage. Regular visits from a physiotherapist, dentist, farrier, feed nutritionist, and saddle fitter ensure they stay in peak condition.
