St Andrews Lakes

St Andrews Lakes, right in Rochester, has loads to offer for everyone who’s into sports and outdoor fun. Mike and his team have transformed an old quarry into a fantastic blue lake reserve, perfect for all kinds of water and land activities. Think sandy beaches, water sports gear for hire, rock climbing, a great café, and even a day spa.

You can stay in floating lodges with private decks and hot tubs, or pitch up your campervan. There’s a cracking 600m zip wire coming in 2024 for the thrill-seekers. You can hit the water with activities like paddleboarding, aqua park fun, and open water swimming. There’s even an aqua park that runs from April to October – a massive hit with kids and grown-ups alike.

Mike’s got a beach hut café serving tasty homemade treats and stone-baked pizza to keep you fuelled up. For sailing fans, there are lessons from the Royal Yachting Association, and if you fancy a bit of archery or climbing, they’ve got you covered.

They love hosting groups too – schools, clubs, corporate events, hen and stag parties – you name it. There’s a huge tent for up to 50 people and a whole bunch of multi-activity days for kids during school holidays.

The wellness centre is a treat, with beauty treatments, a sauna, and even a cold plunge by the lake. And don’t forget the jet board sessions on Saturdays for that extra thrill.
