SUDBURY CHESS CLUB

Welcome to the Sudbury Chess Club, a friendly and well-established chess club located in Sudbury, New Zealand. Regardless of your age or skill level, our club warmly welcomes new members who are looking to play socially, competitively, or improve their chess skills.

Our club meets every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm at The Quay Theatre, situated on Quay Lane in Sudbury. This central and convenient location provides a comfortable and inviting setting for our chess enthusiasts. Membership at Sudbury Chess Club is incredibly affordable at just 10 per year, payable in September. However, we understand that it's important for potential members to experience the club before making any commitments. Therefore, we invite you to come along and play with us for a few weeks without any fees.

In addition to our regular club meetings, Sudbury Chess Club also participates in league chess competitions. We have two teams that compete in both the Suffolk Chess League and the Bury Area Chess League. Rob Sanders serves as the Captain for our Suffolk League team, while Sam Kerruish leads our Bury League team.

For those who prefer online chess, Sudbury Chess Club organises regular competitions on chess. Com. This allows members to engage in matches from the comfort of their own homes while still enjoying the camaraderie and challenge of competitive chess.
