Manisha Mehta, the founder and teacher at SUN YOGA Edmonton, established the studio with a vision to spread peace, health, and wellness through traditional yoga. With over 10 years of serving the community, Sun Yoga welcomes individuals of all ages and levels to experience the transformative power of yoga practice.
Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Sun Yoga offers exclusive traditional Hatha style yoga classes done at room temperature. Each class is designed to help students find inner and outer peace by focusing on slow-paced asanas, Pranayama (breathwork), chakras, Mantras, and Mudras. Through a sequence of postures and breathing techniques, students can release tension in both body and mind, and experience personal and spiritual growth.
The calming energy of the studio, accompanied by soft music and gentle instructions, creates a safe and nurturing environment for students to explore the benefits of yoga practice. Manisha Mehta, a dedicated teacher with a background in Pharmacy and MBA, received her formal yoga training from the Sivananda Vedanta Centre in Grass Valley, California. Her passion for yoga and spirituality led her to establish Sun Yoga in 2013, where she upholds the authentic teachings of yoga.
