At Susac's Taekwondo & Self-defence Academy, their mission is to support students in their physical and mental development, helping them achieve their best in martial arts and self-defence skills. With disciplined training and milestones along the way, the academy aims to increase students' awareness and confidence, enabling them to walk into the future with the right judgement and a sense of safety.
Taekwondo is not just about kicking and punching. It is a way of thinking and living. The academy emphasises that Taekwondo promotes fitness, relaxation, meditation, self-confidence, self-control, and self-defence. By learning the philosophy behind the martial art, students can enjoy a good way of life, both mentally and physically, through practise and learning.
The goal of Taekwondo is total body and mind control through training and discipline. Susac's Taekwondo & Self-defence Academy aims to help their students achieve the best in their martial arts and self-defence skills through disciplined training and respect for all people.
The academy offers regular weekly classes at their Rosebud and Blairgowrie branches. The Rosebud branch holds classes at the Rosebud Memorial Hall on Nepean Hwy every Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The Blairgowrie branch holds classes at the Blairgowrie Community Centre Hall on William Road every Thursday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Children's classes are also available on both nights.
The classes cover not only the traditional martial art of Taekwondo, but also skills in Taekwondo Competition, Self Defence, Stick Fighting, and other valuable life skills. Emphasis is placed on respect, patience, and how to stay out of trouble. These classes are suitable for the whole family, including adults, parents, and children from 5 years old.
Mornington Peninsula Taekwondo Clubs are open to new students as well as those from existing martial arts schools. The academy provides a warm, friendly, and family-oriented environment. They invite everyone to check out their Rosebud and Blairgowrie branches to experience and learn the wonderful traditional martial art of Taekwondo and self-defence from highly skilled and experienced martial arts instructors.
