Tai Chi @ The Beach is a well-established school located in Sorrento, Western Australia. With indoor and outdoor classes available, students have the opportunity to practise this ancient Chinese art while overlooking the beautiful coastline. The school was founded in 2004 and is proudly Australian-owned and operated. It is a member of The Tai Chi Association of Australia and The International Institute of Complimentary Therapists.

One of the highlights of Tai Chi @ The Beach is its involvement in World Tai Chi and Qigong Day, which they have been organising and participating in since 2006. This annual event takes place on the last Saturday of April and showcases the health benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong. Founder Bill Douglas, an award-winning author and the creator of the event, had a transformative experience during his visit to the school in Perth. After attending one of Bev Abela's Tai Chi @ The Beach classes, his jet lag symptoms completely disappeared.

Tai Chi @ The Beach offers various programmes to cater to individual goals and abilities. Their regular Tai Chi classes, spanning 10 weeks and 10 classes, are suitable for beginners, intermediates, and advanced practitioners. These structured courses provide a pre-determined learning curve and are taught by Chief Instructor Bev Abela. Students have the flexibility to attend classes at any of the available venues.

Corporate classes are also available upon arrangement, making it a great option for team-building activities.

For those interested in delving deeper into the art of Tai Chi, Tai Chi @ The Beach offers Weapons classes focusing on Sword or Fan techniques. These classes are available for intermediate to advanced students and are scheduled just before or after regular classes. Additionally, workshops provide opportunities for students to revise their learned levels during school holidays.

Private classes are also available for those who prefer a more personalised approach or have specific scheduling requirements. These classes can be conducted in the comfort of your own home or a nearby park, and interested individuals can inquire for a personalised quote.

With a weekly schedule that includes classes at various times and venues, Tai Chi @ The Beach offers flexibility for students to choose the most convenient option. Class rates for the regular 10-week programme are $180, while the Weapons classes are $100 for the same duration. Returning students are eligible for the Loyalty Programme, which offers an early bird discount if fees are paid by the last day of the previous term.
