“Welcome to Tennis Coaching & Court Hire Corinda - Tennis For Kids! We are proud to be nominated as the 2021 Tennis Queensland Club of the Year finalists. Our tennis club offers a vibrant and innovative approach to delivering tennis coaching and junior fixture programmes in Corinda, Brisbane.

At Tennis For Kids, we have a team of handpicked coaches who are dedicated to making learning tennis fun for children. Our coaching programmes include ANZ Hot Shots tennis, teen squads, private lessons, and adult tennis coaching. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality coaching programmes that cater to all age groups and skill levels.

We conduct most of our classes on-location at local primary schools in Corinda and the surrounding suburbs like Annerley, Ashgrove, Bardon, Bulimba, Coorparoo, Camp Hill, Graceville, Holland Park, Mansfield, Morningside, Sherwood, Tarragindi, and The Gap. This allows for convenient drop-offs and pickups for parents, with morning lessons scheduled early before work and afternoon lessons immediately after school.

Our coaching programmes utilise the ANZ Hot Shots Framework, a Tennis Australia programme that uses tailored equipment such as smaller courts, racquets, and low-compression tennis balls. This approach ensures that children are introduced to tennis in an environment that is suited to their age and skill level, promoting success and fun from an early stage.

Tennis is an excellent sport for children as it helps develop coordination skills during their critical primary school years. We believe that tennis provides a unique level of total skill development compared to other sports. Lessons teach important skills such as hand-eye coordination, motor control, ball tracking, and striking. Additionally, tennis builds balance, foot speed, strength, fitness, agility, and flexibility.

Tennis is also a true family sport, bringing families together on the same court to share in the fun. Whether it's parents, siblings, or even grandparents, everyone can participate. Tennis can be played for a lifetime, starting from the age of 3 to well into adulthood. The sport also teaches significant life skills such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Doubles play and tennis team events foster social skills and teamwork.

In addition to our coaching programmes, we also offer court hire for recreational use. However, players enter and use the facility at their own risk, and the suitability of the court surface is left to the discretion of the hirer. Please note that court bookings made for coaching or commercial purposes are not permitted, as our focus is on recreational play.

We have a strict policy against the use of alcohol, illegal or offensive substances, weapons, sharp objects, or animals on or within the fenced court area.
