The Judo Academy is the largest independent Judo Academy in Ireland, located in Lisburn. They provide pathways for all members and volunteers to engage in Judo, develop skills, compete, socialise, and maintain a healthy lifestyle through a range of programmes. These programmes include Judo, Strength & Conditioning, Coaching, Performance Analysis, Grading, Inclusion, Females in Sport, Summer Camps, and Residential Exchange Visits, among others.

Community inclusivity is a core value of The Judo Academy. They are proud to be an inclusive sports club that caters to individuals from different denominations and communities. The Judo Academy aims to meet the needs of each student wishing to participate in their classes. They strive to keep the cost of participation at a minimum for everyone.

Evening and weekend classes at The Judo Academy are paid for through a weekly 'Mat Fee' of 6 per person, which is collected through a Gocardless subscription. After attending four classes, participants are required to have insurance, and membership with The Judo Academy is recommended. For those interested in entering national competitions, NI Judo membership is also available. The coaching team is always available for advice and guidance.

The Judo Academy also offers after-school clubs, committing to be present at the designated school or venue every week of the term (with exceptions made for other school functions). There are approximately ten classes per term, although this may vary based on individual school term dates. Students have the opportunity to participate in club gradings each term, as well as Judo festivals, interclub competitions, and further development classes at one of The Judo Academy venues in the community. After-school Judo classes are 5 per class, with payment accepted on the day or through a direct debit subscription.

The Judo Academy values the commitment of its students and understands the importance of regular attendance. When booking a place in a class, students are reserving a limited space that is prepared and sanitised for them each week. Payment is required weekly, and no refunds are provided for missed classes. This system allows The Judo Academy to keep costs low and continue offering affordable classes to its members.
