The Pickering Academy of Dance, commonly known as PAD, is a renowned dance school located in the vibrant city of Sheffield. Founded in 1985 by the late Melanie Pickering FIDTA, PAD has become a dedicated dance family, nurturing students' passion for dance and helping them achieve their dreams of a career in the dance industry or simply the joy of performing and making new friends.

The school also offers additional opportunities for students to enhance their training through associate programmes, such as Renaissance Arts Scholars, Perform Like A Pro, and Mission Inspire.
PAD students have excelled in various dance festivals and competitions, earning numerous medals and trophies. Some students have even achieved top 6 finals status in TDCI Championships, as well as Champion status in ballet and modern categories. This outstanding performance has led to several students being invited to prestigious events such as the TDCI Champion of Champions in Blackpool.
