The class also incorporates foundational Tai Chi movements, helping to build relaxed strength. Key concepts include shifting weight while keeping level hips, maintaining the 'four points', standing and dissolving, and sinking chi. Forms such as Cloud Hands, The Marriage of Heaven and Earth, The Willow Tree form, and the 8 Brocades are featured.

The Wu Style Tai Chi Short Form class at The Tai Chi Effect – Brighton emphasises health and vitality, particularly aiding the back and spine.
