For beginners' classes, participants are advised to wear loose clothing such as a T-shirt, jogging or track suite bottoms, or shorts. It is recommended to bring a drink of water or juice for after the class. Upon arrival, individuals will be greeted by the club's secretary or instructor and registered in. The beginner's class is conducted at a relaxed pace, with all moves broken down and explained step by step for easy understanding.

Parents have the opportunity to train and learn alongside their children in the same class, fostering a sense of togetherness. TISKA Karate Reading is also open to individuals with special educational needs, as Karate can help to relax and focus the mind.

After the beginner's classes, the instructor will explain the cost of ongoing classes and provide information on grading costs (belt exams) and the licencing fee. Participants are not required to purchase the Karate uniform (Gi) after their first class, as the instructor will discuss the cost and sizes at a later stage.
