Traralgon Judo Club

Traralgon Judo Club is a prominent sports club located in Latrobe City, Victoria, Australia. It operates within the Traralgon Budokan, a purpose-built training hall for martial arts. The club, along with the Traralgon Kyokushin Karate Dojo, leases this facility to conduct its classes.

Students are expected to arrive at least five minutes before the lesson begins.

The cost of membership for the Traralgon Judo Club includes term fees of $100, payable at the beginning of each term. This amount remains consistent throughout the year. Additionally, members are required to hold a Judo Victoria membership, which can be obtained through the Judo Victoria website. The membership provides benefits such as insurance coverage, grading advancement, and entry to competitions.

It is the individual's responsibility to maintain and pay for the Judo Victoria membership.

In terms of instructors, the Traralgon Judo Club is led by highly skilled and experienced individuals. The club boasts instructors such as Paul Coughlan (4th Dan), David Nabulsi (4th Dan), Hunter Richardson (3rd Dan), and Vin Nightingale (1st Dan).

Please note that as of January 2020, the Traralgon Judo Club does not offer junior classes for individuals under the age of 13 years old. However, the club provides a comprehensive programme for senior karate practitioners. These classes are held on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

Membership with the Australian Kyokushin Karate Association is mandatory for senior karate members. This membership requires an annual fee of $25, due in February or March each year. Participants are expected to wear the approved Kyokushin Karate uniform, which can be purchased through the dojo for $60. Instructors for the senior karate classes include Elias Kavadias (2nd Dan), David Weir Smith (2nd Dan), and Terrance English (2nd Dan).
