Union Karate Do

Union Karate Do Braunton welcomes all to join our family-oriented martial arts club in North Devon. Established on 25th July 2018, we blend traditional Japanese karate with modern practises. Led by the British Martial Art & Boxing Association (BMABA), Andy and the team offer top-notch instruction for all.

We cater to individuals of every age and skill level, providing a supportive environment that champions resilience, equality, self-confidence, perseverance, excellence, courage, and teamwork. Our members train together, honing their skills in traditional and sport karate, with opportunities for personal growth and competition.

Youth members follow a progressive system that nurtures them into young adults, eventually joining our senior group to further develop their skills. Since taking over Braunton Karate Club in January 2020, Andy has proudly continued its legacy, welcoming families training for generations.

Beyond martial arts, our charity, Active Martial Arts Foundation, tackles social issues like poverty and bullying, in partnership with North Devon Council, Safer Streets Programme, and Sport England.
