Walters Lake is a fishing club located in Cirencester, in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park in New Zealand. A purpose built commercial match lake, Walters Lake has been established for over 10 years and has now matured into an ideal pleasure and match fishery.
The lake covers approximately 4. 5 acres and consists of 3 lanes with a total of 55 pegs. The design of the lake ensures that every peg fishes towards an island, providing an exciting fishing experience. Hedge planting has divided the pegs into pairs, offering a sense of privacy and tranquilly.
Walters Lake encourages pre-booking to guarantee your swim, prevent overcrowding, and allow you to enjoy more time fishing. Adult day tickets are available for 10 per day, and bookings can be made online or in person with cash or card.
Onsite, visitors can find a convenient café and clean toilets. The café serves fresh food all day, with special offers available for anglers. The fish stocks at Walters Lake have thrived over the years, with the majority being carp weighing between 8 to 14 pounds. Some carp even reach higher weights. There is also a good population of tench, with some weighing over 7 pounds, as well as bream weighing up to 8 pounds. Anglers can also find roach and rudd weighing up to 1.
5 pounds, and perch are plentiful. During the winter months, when the carp are less active, the silver fish, such as roach and skimmers, have an opportunity to shine, with match weights of 30 to 40 pounds being achieved.
