The history of Waterton Lakes Golf Course dates back to 1922, when the original 9 holes were opened to the public. Due to increasing demand, a second nine holes were added, and on Canada Day in 1935, the course expanded to 18 holes. Renowned Golf Course Architect Stanley Thompson provided input for further improvements in the 1950s, enhancing the overall playability and esthetics of the course.
Managed by PGA of Canada Head Vince Cianfagna and CGSA Course Superintendent Dylan Hogue, Waterton Lakes Golf Course offers a range of facilities including an 18-hole golf course, a restaurant with a patio and lounge, lesson programs, power car rentals, and club and cart rentals. The course operates seasonally from May to October, weather permitting.
