Ollie wants to share some exciting news about Werrington Skatepark in Peterborough! 🛹 Thrill-seekers and skate enthusiasts, this is for you.
Designed by Wheelscape, Werrington Skatepark has been around since 2011 and remains a favourite spot for transitions-based skating. You can find it in the fields next to the school on Staniland Way.
At the heart of the park are two bowls – one larger and deeper, connected to a smaller one with an extension on one corner. It's the perfect setup for both beginners and seasoned skaters. Surrounding these bowls, you'll find ledges and a three-hump roll over set. The smooth surfaces make for effortless pumping, so you can spend less time pushing and more time skating!
The park's designed to cater to everyone. Newcomers can find their feet in the smaller bowl, while advanced skaters can challenge themselves with the larger one.
The skatepark is free to use and located outdoors, though do check the opening and closing times which can vary. Getting there is pretty straightforward—take a bus or taxi from Peterborough train station, and you're just a short walk from the Staniland Way bus stop.
Ollie wants everyone to know that Werrington Skatepark is all about community. It's a place for skaters of all levels to come together, learn, and enjoy the sport. So grab your boards and head over to Werrington Skatepark for some fun! 🤘
See you there,
Ollie
