Welcome to Woody's Skate & Play, your local skating rink and family day care service in Glenorchy, Tasmania. Owned and operated by the same Tasmanian family for over 40 years, Woody's Skate & Play is a beloved community establishment.
At Woody's, fun is guaranteed for all ages. We offer skating lessons for kids as young as 2 years old, providing them with an opportunity to learn and develop their skills on wheels. Our session times are flexible, with regular session times throughout the week and additional school holiday times. Don't miss out on our famous Friday Night Disco from 7:30pm to 10pm, where everyone is invited to have a blast.
On Saturdays, we are open from 10am to 4pm, and on Sundays and public holidays, we welcome you from 12noon to 4pm.
Our entry prices are affordable, with adults priced at $14, children (16 and under) at $12, and children (5 and under) at $10. Skate and equipment hire is available for an additional $4. On Fridays nights, the entry fee is $15 for all ages, which includes skate hire. Private bookings are also available outside our regular session times, giving you the perfect opportunity to host a unique and memorable event.
Woody's Skate & Play is also your go-to destination for birthday parties. Let us take care of all the details while you enjoy the party. Our party time slots are available on Saturdays, school holidays, Sundays, and Friday nights. For self-catered parties, the cost is $200 for the first 10 guests, with an additional $16 for each extra guest.
We also offer catering options, such as hot chips, donuts, slush puppies, and unlimited water cordial, as well as freshly cooked pizzas with homemade dough and slush puppies. Just add $60 for the first 10 guests, plus $6 for each additional guest over 10.
