Yarram Horse Trail Riding Club

Yarram Horse Trail Riding Club is a renowned sports club located in Wellington Shire, Victoria. With approximately 40 members ranging in age from 8 to 70 years, the club offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for all horse trail riders.

As the number of riders increased, the group decided to formalise their activities and officially became a club in 1978. Since then, the club has expanded its horizons, riding in collaboration with other clubs and organising horse riding camping trips.

In the early 1980s, Yarram Horse Trail Riding Club affiliated with the Australian Trail Horse Riders Association (ATHRA), following the encouragement of the Traralgon Trail Riding Club. This affiliation has provided the club with the opportunity to participate in annual feature rides, typically lasting from a week to 10 days, in the breathtaking High Country. In addition, the club organises several camp-over weekend rides each year to further enhance the riding experience for members.

The club is led by a dedicated executive team. Jeff Thomas serves as the President, overseeing the operations and activities of the club. Roly Jones acts as the Vice President, and Jenny Bland handles the responsibilities of the Secretary. Barb Brennan takes charge of the club's finances as the Treasurer.
