In the early 1980s, Yarram Horse Trail Riding Club affiliated with the Australian Trail Horse Riders Association (ATHRA), following the encouragement of the Traralgon Trail Riding Club. This affiliation has provided the club with the opportunity to participate in annual feature rides, typically lasting from a week to 10 days, in the breathtaking High Country. In addition, the club organises several camp-over weekend rides each year to further enhance the riding experience for members.
The club is led by a dedicated executive team. Jeff Thomas serves as the President, overseeing the operations and activities of the club. Roly Jones acts as the Vice President, and Jenny Bland handles the responsibilities of the Secretary. Barb Brennan takes charge of the club's finances as the Treasurer.
