On Fridays, classes are held at the bandstand in Roberts Park, Saltaire. The session from 9:30 am to 10:30 am includes qigong and Wu Style Short Form, while the session from 10:30 am to 11:15 am focuses on the Wu Style “7 Stars” Taiji Sword Form. The cost for each session is 8.
The classes at Yorkshire Tai Chi incorporate various aspects of tai chi, including qigong exercises and the Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan form. Qigong exercises focus on bringing energy into the body, improving joint flexibility, and increasing limb motion range. In addition to the regular classes, Yorkshire Tai Chi offers the opportunity to try or practise sticking or pushing hands on Tuesday evenings until around 9:30 pm. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and footwear during the sessions.
