Kendo is a form of Japanese martial art, meaning “way of the sword”. Two opponents test their swordsmanship as they attempt to strike each other on designated areas and earn points. During their duel participants will shout to express their spirit and strike. Kendo is practiced barefoot with wooden swords. The first person to score two of three points or has a point when the time runs out wins.
