About
The Mindil Beach Surf Life Saving Club was founded in 1996 under the name 'Arafura Life Saving Club' and originally patrolled the open water areas of East Point and the adjacent Lake Alexander on weekends during the dry season. The Arafura LSC briefly moved operations to Cullen Bay before settling at the popular Mindil Beach on the southern end of Fannie Bay. The club officially changed its name to Mindil Beach Surf Life Saving Club on 14 March 2008.
