Our primary water polo programmes cater to primary school-aged children and are held at both the Northside and Southside Pools on Thursday nights. It's a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn a modified version of water polo in the shallow end of the pool. No previous experience is necessary, as our experienced coaches are dedicated to teaching essential skills and fostering team spirit.
For secondary school students, we have a thrilling schools competition that takes place on Monday nights at the Rockhampton Grammar School pool. If your school doesn't have a team, don't worry! Contact Rockhampton Water Polo, and we'll help you join an existing school team. It's a great way to represent your school and compete against other teams in a fun and energetic environment.
Adult players are not left behind as we have an exciting open competition that welcomes players of all ability levels, including advanced secondary school players. Held on Thursday nights between October and April at the Northside Pool, this social competition offers a perfect blend of friendly competition and social camaraderie. You can either form your own team or join one of our existing teams. New members are always welcomed throughout the season.
At Rockhampton Water Polo, we also support representative trips to competitions around Queensland. If you have advanced skills and are seeking a more challenging playing experience, our representative teams provide excellent opportunities to showcase your talent and compete against top-level players.
Volunteers and referees play a crucial role in our organisation, and we always welcome their involvement. If you're passionate about water polo and would like to contribute, we would love to have you on board.
