The Taoist Tai Chi Society of QLD is a sports club based in Perth, Australia. The club is proud to be a part of the international Taoist Tai Chi Society, founded by Master Moy Lin Shin. In a video filmed in the late 1980s at the organisation's International Centre in Orangeville, Ontario, Master Moy demonstrates the set of 108 movements that form the core of Taoist Tai Chi practise.
Members of the club have shared personal stories of how Taoist Tai Chi has positively impacted their lives. One female member, in the age group of 70-79, credits tai chi with giving her back her independence and reducing the impact of her Parkinson's disease. Similarly, a male member in the age group of 40–59 attributes tai chi to improving his mobility and balance, leading to fewer visits to his neurologist.
